Who we are
drydon.uk is an independent promotional website for the Drydon dehumidifier, run by Sensory Haven Co. Sensory Haven Co. is the data controller for the information described in this policy. We are not the merchant that sells the Drydon. Orders are placed with the merchant on get-drydon.com, and the merchant's own privacy policy applies to anything you do on its site.
In short
- We do not have forms, accounts, a newsletter or a checkout, so we do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or payment details.
- Every page loads the Google Ads tag and the Meta Pixel, which use cookies and similar technology to measure visits and ad clicks.
- If you arrive from an ad, the ad click ID in the link is saved in your browser and added to our affiliate link when you tap Shop Now, so the sale or click can be credited to the right ad.
1. Hosting and server logs (Cloudflare)
The site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare. When your browser requests a page, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie if it needs to check for automated traffic. We do not run Cloudflare Web Analytics or any other separate analytics script on this site.
2. Google Ads tag
Every page loads Google's tag (gtag.js) for our Google Ads account. It can set cookies (for example _gcl_au, and _gcl_aw when you arrive from a Google ad) and sends Google information such as the page address, referrer, browser details, IP address and any Google click ID.
When you tap a Shop Now button, the tag records a conversion that tells us an ad visit led to a click through to the merchant. This measures clicks to the merchant, not purchases. Google may also use this data under its own terms, for example for ad measurement and personalisation. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
3. Meta Pixel
Every page loads the Meta Pixel (for Facebook and Instagram ads). It sends a PageView event when a page loads and an AffiliateOutboundClick event, labelled with the product name Drydon, when you tap a Shop Now button. Meta may set cookies such as _fbp and _fbc and receives information such as the page address, browser details, IP address and any Facebook click ID. Meta may link this to your Facebook or Instagram account under its own policies. See Meta's privacy policy.
4. Ad click IDs and the affiliate link
Ad links often include a click ID in the address (gclid, gbraid or wbraid from Google, fbclid from Meta). If one is present, the site saves it in your browser's local storage under a name starting drydon_, with the time it was saved. If local storage is unavailable, it uses session storage instead, which is cleared when you close the tab. Saved click IDs are ignored and removed after 30 days.
Nothing is sent anywhere at that point. When you tap Shop Now, the click ID is added to our affiliate tracking link (as sub3 to sub6), together with a short label for the page you were on (sub1 and sub2). The link goes to earthwolftrack.com, a tracking domain run on the Everflow platform for our affiliate network, which then sends you on to the merchant. The affiliate network and the merchant use this to record the click and any resulting purchase so commission can be credited, and the network's and merchant's own privacy policies apply to that processing.
5. Cookies and consent
This site does not currently show a cookie banner. The Google and Meta tags described above load when the page loads. You can stop or limit them at any time using the controls below.
- Google: manage or turn off personalised ads in My Ad Center (also reachable from adssettings.google.com).
- Meta: change your Facebook ad preferences, including the setting for ads based on activity from partners.
- Your browser: block or delete cookies, block third-party cookies, or clear this site's data, which also removes any saved click IDs. Private browsing and tracker-blocking extensions also prevent most of this tracking.
6. Why we use this information (lawful basis)
- Hosting and security: our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
- Ad measurement and click attribution: our legitimate interest in knowing which ads lead people to the merchant and being credited for referrals. Where the law requires consent for the cookies involved, you can refuse or withdraw it using the controls above.
7. Who receives information
Cloudflare (hosting), Google (Google Ads), Meta (Meta Pixel), and our affiliate network and its Everflow tracking platform together with the merchant (when you tap Shop Now). We do not sell your information. Some of these companies are based in, or transfer data to, the United States and other countries outside the UK, and they rely on their own safeguards for international transfers.
8. How long information is kept
Saved click IDs in your browser expire after 30 days, or when you clear site data. Google and Meta cookies typically last around 90 days and can be renewed when you visit again. Data held by Cloudflare, Google, Meta, the affiliate network and the merchant is kept under their own retention policies.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. We do not hold names, contact details or accounts, so in most cases we cannot identify you from the data described above. The most direct way to exercise these rights is with the companies that hold the data, using Google's and Meta's privacy tools linked above, or by clearing your browser's data for this site.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
10. Orders, delivery and refunds
We do not take orders or payments. For anything about an order, delivery, returns, refunds or the money-back guarantee, including the personal data you give at checkout, please contact the merchant and read its privacy policy on the merchant's website.
11. Children
This site is aimed at adults shopping for household products and is not directed at children.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how the site collects or uses information, we will update this page and the date at the top. More about who runs the site is on our About page.
